R2 Styrene Droid #1

The Goal:
A Droid that is fun and easy to drive so that children (mine and others) could control one at events.

The Plan:
Fully mobile Droid.
As "kid" friendly as possible... aka durable
Logic Displays with 3mm RGB LED's
Various Lights
Sound Effects
Possible -  bubble blower or fog machine or similar "fun" device

Control System:
Remote Controlled - WIIMote and Nunchuck gutted and replaced main board with custom arduino mini

Drive Systems
Propulsion - 2 x DeWalt 18V motor
Dome Rotation - most likely a Pittman gear head motor

Mechanical
Small Servos - I am testing an array of servos for various panels: SparkFun, Pololu and Solar
